Love Your Park Week was off to a good start with Saturdays Service Day. We planted a lot of trees and shrubs. The Memorial Garden was cleaned out and is now looking better than ever. Some of our fairways were cut and trimmed. Mulch was spread where needed, and we have all the new alternate baskets back in place. Great work, guys and gals.

What a week for Aces at Sedge!
On Thursday during tags, Aaron Fahey hit #19 from the long (Red) tee. Josh H, Justin Case, and Caleb were on the card. The shot was a perfect high S hook anhyser with a Tee Bird that went through the protected trees and the top of the hill. Aaron wasn’t sure if it was in or not but it was confirmed by Miss Anne’s group who were walking from 27 when it smashed in!
On Sunday, Caleb Hoff scored a total of 2 strokes on #14 Blue and #25 Blue combined!
“I wasn’t in the best mood since I was playing like sh** otherwise. Both with the same disc though. Yoga matts Old champ wasp.” Said Hoff.

Friends! Don’t Forget the Monthly Tournament This Saturday!!!
It’s time for the annual ‘Nice Bowl’ Food Drive presented by the Friends of Sedgley Woods. We are kicking off the first Monthly of the year with a chili cook-off and a fundraising kick-off for the Philly Open in April.
$10 to play. Registration starts around 9am, we tee off at 10am.
2 rounds. Ace Pot, Super Side Bets, CTP’s as usual
Multiple Divisions available, all skill levels are encouraged to play!
As an added incentive starting this year, the winner of the monthly tournament will be awarded max points (40 points) for the Month of January in the 2015 Gold Tag Challenge. If you still need points for this month, this will be your LAST chance. Don’t sleep in.
“Food Drive” We are asking that EVERYONE brings a non perishable food item or two. This year we will be donating to our friends-group neighbors, the East Park Revitalization.
Chili Cook-off: It’s going to be a cold day, so let’s keep warm with a Chili Cook off. If we can get at least 4 entries there will be a $100 cash prize for the Chili with the most votes. Good Luck!
2015 Philly Open Fundraising Kick-Off: It’s time to start fundraising for the Philly Open. Look for Raffles and CTP’s on Saturday. More to come.
See You all Saturday!
There may be snow on the ground but the Sedgley BoD is already thinking spring, and with that comes planning for our biggest tournament of the year, The Philly Open! Keep an eye on the website/Facebook for more details later on down the line, but for now you can register to make sure you get a spot on a card. You WILL need to pre-register to get a spot, as the tourney notoriously fills up quickly.
You can see Josh Hughes, Aaron Fahey or Dave Prue to pay in person, or click the appropriate link below to register online.
